New Programme of Workshops for Young People at Contact

• FREE Drama Drop-ins for 13-19s, every Monday – 7-9pm – turn up at 6.30
• Showreel: Auditions on 16 Feb for 16-30s All arts disciplines welcome. Showcase 2 Mar!
• Techlab: FREE workshops on technical aspects of theatre. Once a month on Mondays 19 Feb, 26 Mar, etc
• Jonzi D: Workshops in Lyrical Motivated Movement (10 Mar) and Rap (8 Mar)

Artists’ Workshops for Young People: Castlefield Gallery

The artists Colin Parker and Scott Laverie propose to run a 1 or 2 day workshop for young people based around a series of factual and fictional stories drawn from their work in the exhibition at Castlefield Gallery. The workshops will take place at The Museum of Science and Industry and include model making, such as hot air balloons and maquette building using salvaged objects. The workshop will be digitally documented throughout and each participant will receive a brochure of images.

The artists have a good level of experience working with a wide range of young people including those who have been excluded from school so can be flexible in how the workshop is pitched.
