Behaviour Management and Youth Arts

6 November, 9.45am-4pm, Cornerhouse, 70 Oxford Street Manchester M1 5NH.

Artsplan, the training and publications department of Artswork and the in-house training provider of ENYAN (English National Youth Arts Network) is pleased to be delivering our 'Behaviour Management and Youth Arts' course at the North West Artsplan Training Centre this year.

The one-day course, is a new and extremely robust course and looks into improving skills, knowledge and experience in order to develop an understanding of behavioural management and takes a look at the issues and barriers that are faced when undertaking Youth Arts projects.

This course is set up and led by experienced and knowledgeable youth arts specialists. It explores the practical aspects of behavioural management: health and safety issues, risk assessment and achieving key objectives. It aims to promote a style of engaging with young people that encourages positive behaviour to the benefit of all involved.

Artsplan Development Manager Jay Barron comments: 'Undertaking practical workshops and activities with young people, especially those at risk, can be a challenging and difficult experience. This exciting new training course helps to develop your understanding of youth at risk and discusses the theories and methodologies of personal responses and communication.'

All participants will receive a certificate of attendance upon successful completion of the course and a wealth of practical resources. Prices for the courses, which include lunch and refreshments, range from £150 to £110, with bursaries available. Please also remember that ENYAN members receive 5% discount on all Artsplan publications and training!
