Exemplary youth arts case studies wanted! The English National Youth Arts Network seeks case studies of exemplary, youth-led projects that aim to develop young people's leadership skills, aspiration and potential for their forthcoming campaign. The young people we work with today are the practitioners, policy makers and professionals of tomorrow and with recent investment from Government, there are now a number of new ways the Youth Arts sector can help to nurture young people's development. Following the network's previous campaign around the subject of 'Creative Youth Consultation & Participation' ENYAN is delighted to announce a new national campaign entitled 'Young Arts Leaders' which will raise the profile of, and support the youth arts sector in, the development of leadership skills, aspiration and potential of young people within the arts and cultural industries. The network will be conducting research into this rapidly developing area of work over the next 4 months resulting in a downloadable publication which aims to provide clarity around existing programmes and models that promote such work including volunteering, work-based learning and leadership programmes amongst others. The publication will make the case for the arts as an effective mechanism for developing leadership skills as well as encouraging young people to consider a career in the arts and cultural sector in the future. Showcase your work by submitting your regional or national case study! If you're delivering, or have delivered, a project with/for young people that develops leadership skills within the arts and cultural industries we want to hear from you. Case studies should highlight both the benefits and challenges of such projects from the practitioner's, and young person's, perspective. Case studies from projects working with particularly 'at risk' groups of young people are encouraged. A select number of case studies will be included within the publication due for distribution in November but all of those submitted will also be uploaded onto the ENYAN website To submit your case study please email enyan2@artswork.org.uk to express your interest and you will be sent the 'Case Study Template'. Please also email us if you are interested in receiving the publication when it's complete or would like to feed into ENYAN's research in any other way. For further information regarding ENYAN please contact Anna Rubycz, ENYAN Development Manager, hello@enyan.co.uk or call 023 8063 0960.

Infrastructure support service questionnaire Manchester City Council manages a contract for infrastructure support services for the voluntary and community sectors in Manchester. Services currently provided by Novas Scarman Group Manchester (formerly Scarman Trust) are based on a service specification that developed from a comprehensive review of infrastructure support needs of the voluntary and community sectors in Manchester carried out by consultants Cordis Bright in 2004. The Council is committed to continuing support for the voluntary and community sectors in Manchester and the contract for this will be going to tender for renewal. However, before this the Council will be assessing how current infrastructure support services are being used and whether additional support needs are identified. The purpose of this is to ensure that provision adapts where necessary to changing demands and requirements. The questionnaire is for Voluntary and Community sector organisations and can be completed on-line at www.manchester.gov.uk/scarman. You can also download the questionnaire in alternative formats such as PDF and Word. Deadline for completing the questionnaire is 30 September 2008. If you would like a copy of the questionnaire in braille, or if you have any other queries please contact: Third Sector, Policy and Grants Team Please note that each organisation should only compete one questionnaire. We welcome feedback from the Voluntary and Community sectors and thank you in advance for taking the time and trouble to complete the questionnaire.
