Manchester Youth Arts Network is a development of a one year project,
Youth Arts Shock, which in 2002 organised a three day Young People's
regional showcase as part of Cultureshock, the North West regional
arts programme of the Commonwealth Games.
MYAN provides information through a 6-weekly e-bulletin,
an annual seminar event, targeted training opportunities twice
yearly
and this website.
Manchester Youth Arts believe that all young people
have the right to access all the arts have to offer.
This network aims to support young people, and those
who work with young people, in gaining the knowledge to access
what is available
across
the
arts
and also the means to develop new ideas or projects.
The network is steered by a core advisory group,
made up of individuals representing Manchester-based arts organisations. MYAN is funded through Neighbourhood Renewal Funding
(NRF).

- if you are a young person, find out what activities are going
on in your area.
- if you provide an arts service whether you are an
agency, organisation or freelancer, use this resource as a networking
and information tool.
- if you market your organisation, tell us your
news and inform people on activities and opportunities that you
are offering.
